TODAY is the day that all of us have been waiting for. The anticipation and excitement have been building for months leading up to this day and now the wait is over. The Neverender DVD has finally hit stores and hopefully your mailboxes as well and we are more then excited to have this piece of concert history forever enshrined on DVD.

We know that many of you still have questions about your orders or about the release in general so we have set up a FAQ thread where hopefully you can find the answers that you seek.  Please check out the first post throughout the day as we update information. The folks over at Ultimate Guitar have posted their latest interview with Claudio, here is a snippet:

UG: Neverender seems like it would be quite the live spectacle. How did the idea of doing a 4-night concert series originally develop?

Claudio: With having to plan all the albums in chronological order, it kind of came with the territory. It was always somewhere in the back of my mind, how to approach it. Then we were thinking of doing a festival that would take place in New York for the 5th anniversary of the first album. Anyway, the idea was to celebrate that album. There were some rough areas last year, and it wasn’t the right time. When this year came about, we came to the end of the cycle and we were trying to figure out what to do next. Obviously, the prequel album is the next thing, but we thought, “Why not try to do revisit all of our work before we dive into telling the story that came before all of this.” The last record was kind of the closure album, so why not kind of celebrate that end?

Who came up with the Neverender idea?
Neverender has been an idea that we’ve always had since the creation of the band. We figured that sometime we would perform all of the records in order from beginning to end. At first, we thought it might be sort of premature because the concept hasn’t been completed. Without the prequel album, the story wasn’t complete. We wanted to hold off but then it started to make sense because it would help us create a prequel album if we revisited all the material and see how it would influence the next record. It was something the band and management thought about doing.

Rumors have been going around about you guys filming for a DVD, is it true? And for what show?
Right now, we are planning to record the New York shows.

Are there any songs you guys didn’t want to play because you guys grew out of it? Maybe something for Second Stage or In Keeping Secrets?
You know, not really but I can see that is something that could have occurred doing something like this. It’s been a long time since we played some of the songs and for myself, I was kind of anxious. I thought it would be fun and refreshing playing the old songs again.
