Wayne Kramer, our guest for night 4 of Neverender LA
In case you’re not familiar with Wayne Kramer, he is a rock legend, and was a member of The MC5. He joined us for night 4 in Los Angeles for “I shall be released’ and ‘welcome home’
here’s the MC5 playing their most notorious tune, ‘kick out the jams” back in 1970!
here is a fan’s clip of him performing Welcome Home with Coheed.
So… Night 1 of Neverender LA has been completed. Here’s what chuck4c from our community had to say about the show:
Coheed was spot-on all night. I’ve never heard “Devil” or “Everything Evil” so clean before. Having the keyboard accents throughout songs and as interludes was surprisingly fitting. Very restrained but always appropriate. Wes is a great addition to the band.
The 3 framed screens hanging behind the band, while not the best quality, had some great visuals some new and some taken from album art and videos. Everything fit the songs so well, especially “IRObot,” which recut the “Devil” video to show Coheed and Cambria freaking out.
Before “Everything Evil”, Chris had this cool drum fill/solo that riffed on the iconic intro to the song. Also, on “Everything Evil”, Mic accidently started screaming “FBI” early, and covered his mouth. Funny stuff. On “Neverender” (which the quiet/loud dynamic was especially striking), Claudio flubbed a line and made this awesome sour face, but then kept on going like a trooper (pun intended).
“God Send” and “IRObot” had to be the highlights, though. Unless you see it, you’ll never believe how awesomely loud it was. The band seemed so happy throughout the entire show, but it seemed like they were beaming here. Especially since all the drama last year, it’s nice to have Coheed back better than ever.

Many stories have been told from Neverender Chicago, which wrapped up a few nights ago. abramy from our forum community shares his with us:
When the opening track started, and they walked out on stage, I feared for my life. Spontaneous combustion was imminent. Time consumer fucking owned my face. It wasn’t till the end of it that I was shoved up in the middle and couldn’t put my arms down or up without elbowing 47 people in the face. It was DiJC when I couldn’t breath. I left the front and went to the back with my Friend phil (dbzpah on the forums). Probably the best decision i made all night. For almost ALL of everything evil. It was my first time seeing delerium trigger live, and it was FUCKING AMAZING. The whole show was just.. SO good.
Thanks for taking the time to tell us your story, Abram!
